Our class had a great time by the Singapore River and at Kampong Glam. We visited the place where Sir Stamford Raffles, the founder of modern Singapore, landed. The buildings were so 'colonial' and yet they had a modern touch. My favourite building is the Victoria Memorial Hall. It looks so majestic! We took some nice photos with the scenic background.
At Kampong Glam, we visited the Sultan's Palace and a mosque. What I enjoyed most was the delicious Nasi Padang that I had at a street corner restraunt. The sambal belachan was 'pedas'!I hope that many of you learnt about Malay Culture from this Heritage Tour.
We smelt some perfumes.
Tasted some food.
Felt some Malay/Arab fabrics.
And saw many buildings like the mosque and palace!
